Pocosin Cabin Fever Reliever XV - February 2015

I LOVE workshops!

My recent experience at a multi-day-multi-discipline art workshop where there were short workshops in 4 different art media - thrown clay pottery, hand built sculpture, paper mache sculpture, and mechanisms in jewelry.

Since I work in jewelry, I spent 3.5 days in fabricating metal mechanisms - hinges and catches.

Pocosin Arts, jewelry studio - located in Columbia, NC.

Tom Muir - hinges, clasps and other mechanisms.

Two pieces that I worked on - an integral hinge fabricated in 14 gauge brass sheet and brass tubing.  Key catch is nickel silver .

We never went hungry!
